Summer is just around the corner and I’m gearing up for warmer weather! I don’t know about you, but when the weather gets warmer I like to transition my summer wardrobe to lighter fabrics, lighter colors and flowy dresses….Think cool casual summer outfit ideas. The heat and humidity in Oklahoma are REAL and how you dress can make a huge difference in how cool and comfortable you are! And sometimes no matter what you do, it just isn’t possible, LOL!
Summer is a great time to experiment with new styles as you take your first beach vacation in a long time, head to the lake for the weekend, or even just a day spent by the pool or patio. I’m leaning a little more casual this summer because HELLO Mom life! And honestly, dressed-down outfits can mean staying cooler and more comfy as I take my kids all over town for summer fun.

Off the Shoulder Maxi Dress
If you’re looking for something cool and flowy to add to your summer wardrobe, then look no further! I love when I just have to put on one item and I am instantly ready to go out. This ultra comfy yet gorgeous dress is just that! This blue floral maxi dress is just a stunner in person! Something that you can wear to an upcoming vacation or maybe a bridal shower, this floral maxi dress is perfect. I love the color blue and the floral pattern – and it’s under $30! 
Off-the-shoulder remains on trend, but if you’re not into showing your shoulders, you can easily adjust these dresses to make them on the shoulder instead. Pair this dress with a cute pair of sandals and your favorite neutral bag and you’ve got a perfectly cool summer outfit that is chic at the same time. This dress runs loose and flowy, I have on XS.

I love this outfit because it’s lightweight and the linen fabric is perfect for staying cool during the summer! I’ll be wearing this cute summer outfit all season long. The high-waisted paperbag shorts are on-trend and perfect to mix and match with other fun summer tops like a racerback tank top or a crop top if you like those. The paperboy shorts are very versatile and will go well with a neutral white t shirt or something with bright colors/pattern too! I am wearing size small in the shorts. Fit TTS.
Puff-sleeves are also in right now and I love the look of this cute colorful top with these shorts. This is a perfect summer outfit for running errands, or for a casual summer outing like taking the kids out to lunch. I like to wear this top off the shoulder. I’d style with white sneakers if I’m out running errands or a cute pair of sandals with white jeans to dress it up a little bit. I love that this outfit will keep you cool and looking cute! The top runs loose, wearing XS.

Cut-Off Denim Shorts with Cinched Waist V-Neck Top
This is another easy outfit that is appropriate for several summer activities! I love the cut of this classic white button up top – with the peplum waist and puff-sleeves – it’s super flattering and right on trend! I also love that it could be worn with skinny jeans also (since I get soooo cold indoors) or pair it with a cute midi skirt too. This white top fits TTS, wearing small.
These black cut-off denim shorts are also great and very affordable at only $18. The 90’s are back and these shorts are on trend without feeling like you’ve dipped back into your old closet. These denim shorts have a slightly longer hemline, which I really appreciate being a mom of 3. I’d wear this with my favorite cross-body bag and these studded slide sandals for running errands or having lunch or coffee with a friend! These shorts fit TTS, wearing size 6. The black studded sandals I am wearing are very comfy and fit TTS.
