Neutral Christmas Decor Ideas

Hi Everyone and Happy Holidays! I have been in full swing this holiday season and I couldn’t be more excited. I love this time of year so much, and even more so celebrating with my kiddos and husband!  Also, as you know, I love holiday decorating and this year is no different. I love, LOVE, LOOVVVVEEEE a neutral color palette and couldn’t resist doing a holiday glam look with gold, silver and white decor this year.

So, last year I decided to go with a more traditional look and added lots of pops of red. As much as I loved last year’s festive decor, I couldn’t deny my love for a neutral Christmas, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It is the perfect combination of Christmas and elegance. I cannot wait to share my neutral Christmas decor ideas with you!house with white walls and Neutral Christmas Decor IdeasShop my Christmas Decor here:

Neutral Christmas Decor Ideas

So, let’s get started with My Christmas Living Room Tour….

When you first walk into my living room, your eye is immediately drawn to my fireplace. The mantle is decorated with a beautiful 9ft flocked garland (mine sold out, similar linked). This is the same garland that I used last Christmas but I cut out the red ornaments this year to help bring my neutral Christmas palette to life. It also has some rustic pine cones for texture and silver ornaments. I then flanked each end of the mantle with a glam silver reindeer to give a little height and dimension.a fireplace in a home

My neutral stockings are from Target a few years back but I had them professionally monogrammed to give them that custom touch. I had previously posted some pretty neutral stocking options for you from Target a few weeks back when I began my holiday decorating. socks, bells, and pillows as neutral christmas decor ideas

I then finished off the fireplace with my favorite 3.5 ft flocked Christmas trees, oversized bells, Joy pillow and my go-to brass lantern filled white and silver ornaments. Lastly, I layered in my mercury glass trees for a little bit of extra shine!fireplace with christmas decorations

As you look next to my fireplace, you will notice metal wreaths are hung in my windows and attached with command hooks. These little hooks are such life savers and can be attached and removed without damaging your walls or windows.leather couch with neutral christmas decor ideas

Sofa’s and Console Table

I love to be cuddled up at night on a warm and cozy couch, so I draped my leather sofas in cozy white blankets (similar linked) and filled them with neutral holiday pillows. I chose pillows in varying textures and sizes to add dimension and just the right amount of glitz. Since I am going with this neutral palette I am able to leave the blankets and pillows out and enjoy them for the rest of the winter season. I cannot wait to snuggle up with my family on our next movie night and enjoy all of the holiday coziness. small gold and silver christmas tree with text hanging let's mistletoe

The console table behind my sofa is filled with my collection of mini trees in gold, silver and white. I love the combination of different materials and varying heights. So, I always grab one or two new ones every year! The more the merrier I say! I hung a cute and glitzy banner over my gallery wall. Also, maybe Casey will sit with me on the couch! This helps to bring your eyes up and keeps them moving around the room at all the holiday decor. leather couches, white chair, and foot stool with neutral christmas decor ideas

Banquette Area

The banquette is filled with more of my favorite neutral holiday pillows and topped with another strand of 9ft flocked garland. Also, I removed the red ornaments from this garland and will save the ornaments to reattach and use another year. A small flocked wreath over my existing artwork, more metallic trees and fun pom-pom garland were added to finish off this little nook. marble side table with christmas decoration

Christmas Tree

For the grand finale…..My flocked 10 foot pre-lit King of Christmas tree! (See my separate post on my tips for setting up your flocked tree).  So, it is decorated with a variety of gold, silver and white ornaments and lots of various greenery placed all over the tree to cover up empty holes and add more texture and dimension. I just did a variety of ornaments I already had on hand from years past and kept adding until I felt it was full enough.

Also, I did a simple metallic ribbon weaved through out the tree and some holiday floral stems stuck around the top to create a tree topper. I also placed Merry Christmas paper banners throughout the tree to add another dimension of texture. I kept my wrapping paper under the tree white and gold this year. It is simple, but still elegant.
