Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather that has arrived! I have been loving wearing oversized sweaters and pairing them with my white sneakers that go with everything! See my previous post on my 7 must have white shoes that are perfect for fall! They are so comfortable and cute.  Some days I have to force myself to take them off!

Doesn’t it seem like the year is flying by? Before we know it Thanskgiving will be here and then Christmas! With October here and Halloween upon us, the pumpkin patch and all things Fall are on my to-do list! Being a mom of 3, my to-do is always quite long so I was thankful that with the help of Wal-mart.com, I was able to get my simple Halloween porch decor up with effortless shopping! I am always sharing on my IG Stories@curlsandcashmere how much I love Wal-Mart’s grocery pick-up, and shopping on Wal-Mart.com is just as convenient. Who doesn’t love online shopping?! I know I do! (My husband probably doesn’t love that, but that’s okay! Haha.)

My intention of this post is to show you how I accomplished decorating quickly and on a budget!  So, let’s grab some branches, pumpkins, my simple Halloween porch decor supplies from Wal-Mart.com and get ready to have some spooky fun!

Simple Halloween Porch Decor

First, choose your theme.

I have 3 small children and with our youngest being 4, I don’t want to do anything too scary for her. So I went with a spider theme along with some traditional Halloween items. Spiders and webs are the perfect spooky decoration! You can practically add spider webs to anything and it instantly becomes spooky!  They can be used indoor or outdoor. While spider webs are an easy and inexpensive décor item, after Halloween is over they can be a pain to clean up. This year my easy trick was to grab some dead, fallen branches from my front yard stick and place them in old flower pots and cover them with web. The perfect accessory to add NEXT is plastic spiders to give it that extra creepy vibes! (I HATE spiders, but plastic spiders are bearable!) I also added these 3-D spiders to my front door..I arranged them so they look as if they are crawling up the door…my kids LOVED them.

The best part is once the holiday is over the clean-up will be quick and I can trash the branches. Or I actually might keep them in my attic for next year because I loved the element they added to my simple Halloween porch decor so much! I hate throwing away money but with the great price of the spiders and spider webs from Wal-Mart – I don’t feel guilty one bit.

Then Add some Color & Texture,

I know it’s a Spooktacular holiday, but I still try to make it cute as possible! I added these colorful plastic banners to the top of my front door. My front door is TALL, so I was barely able to reach by myself.  The price of the banners is fantastic and they are a great way to add a pop of color! Easy to hang and move around if you must. I am obsessed with all the cute indoor and outdoor banners that are available this year and love the pattern and color they add. I used gorilla tape to keep all of my Halloween decor items taped to my brick.

I then added the freaky fabric to the top of my door and had it drape down the sides of my front door. It added some fun texture to break up my white brick. Next, I added these adorable paper fans in orange and black and white. I love decorating with these so much and have used them for my son’s 1st bday party and for a baby shower I hosted before. Very versatile and I even thought about hanging them on the branches, but chose to tape them to the freaky fabric instead.

Next you need some Halloween Accessories & of course, PUMPKINS!

I added this black and white striped rug for another pop of pattern. It is small, but I just layered it with my existing welcome mat and it looked really cute. Love black and white stripes!

This trick or treat wood art is perfect and such a GOOD price! It is a really nice size too. The great thing about this is it can be used inside or outside (as long as it is covered).  This will be able to be used for multiple years and go with any theme I choose.

I added these pumpkin light up topiaries next. They are so cute and when they are turned on, the silver jack o lantern lights up. Then I added in a combination of real pumpkins! They are a Halloween and Fall must-have for any type of porch you want to create. For my Halloween porch, I added some jumbo jack pumpkins along with some pie sized orange pumpkins. And y’all know I always love white pumpkins, so I bought a bag of white mini’s to sprinkle in with the decor. Did you know you can add pumpkins to your Wal-mart grocery pickup order?! YES!!!

Lastly, get some Mums.

Mums are my go-to during this time of year! Mums offer such a beautiful pop of color to your garden and front porch. I decorated my front porch with potted mums that I found at Wal-Mart.– the mums on my porch can be moved around easily and add so much to my simple Halloween porch decor! I have seen so many beautiful porches on Instagram filled with mums and pumpkins. Be sure to grab some to add to your Halloween scenery!

Wondering how to maintain mums?

  • Mums need light. They exceed well in full sun – they need at least 6 hours of sunlight.
  • Be sure to water your plants! Mums need at least an inch of water per week. Tip: if the base of your plant stats to turn brown then increase water.
  • Cut off any flowers that have wilted. By doing so, it will boost future blooming.
Those are all the tips you need to get festive, yet simple Halloween porch decor for yourself! We are Halloween AND trick or treat ready now thanks to Wal-Mart.  I also added this witches cauldron for my candy holder and of course, my fave candy! The best part of my Halloween shopping is that Wal-mart has 2 day shipping on hundreds of items and pick up in store is also a super convenient option! That comes in handy for myself and my fellow procrastinators!

I love seeing my tips incorporated into your decorating so please feel free to tag me on Instagram, so I can see and share any ideas you may have as well!  Thank you all for reading and have a Boo-tiful Halloween!
